Good places to bet/watch football downtown?

Checked the archives, but the most recent I found was from 2013, so hoping new info is available.
Love going to LV during football season. I usually stay on the strip, but considering downtown for my October trip due to the high room prices that week (Oct 18-23, the only time I can go). The last post I found listed the Plaza sports book, 777 at MSS, and some liked the books at Fremont and Golden Nugget. Maybe some non-hotel places are good also? I'm looking for good screens, fun atmosphere.
I know football specials won't be announced for a few more weeks (and I'll keep an eye out for them), but a general idea would help me figure if it's worth considering downtown.
I think that good screens may be found at Plaza, Golden Nugget as well as possibly El Cortez.

Plaza, a couple of years ago, was comfortable and will probably meet your needs.
They have a decent sports book and you will not have to venture off to make a
bet. For those of you who like a quiet atmosphere to actually enjoy the peace
and quiet and not have twenty-somethings yelling and screaming at the most insignifigant plays all night. I make my bets at the Golden Nugget and go to the Four Queens and head upstairs to the Chicago Brewing Company. Good food and great beer. Also it is cigar friendly if you choose to smoke. It is very small but undiscovered by most. I know the 4Q has a sports book but I prefer GN. Also there are several bartop poker machines.
Here is another vote for the Chicago Brewing Company. The bartenders are great. Kimmy is usually there on the weekend, wearing a bear jersey but she does welcome us Packer fans. Also, if you don't like cigar smoke, they have tvs in the dining area.

Thanks everyone, haven't been to the places mentioned other than Golden Nugget so this could be a nice change of pace.
Elco usually sets out hotdogs and snacks...free for sports betters. generally, downtown leaves plenty to be desired when it comes to watching sports.

There are bars scattered around town that cater to locals native to other cities with nfl franchises. Whatever your favorite team is, you can find a bar in LV that will have that team as the featured game on the big screen....and you'll be surrounded by like-minded fans. There's a link somewhere that shows all the bars by team. Im too lazy to look for it right now.
For clarification, El Cortez does have a hot dog cart at the sports book for $1 hot dogs. It is a good deal. Oh and it is only there on weekends.
