How to Spend a Weekend in Downtown Las Vegas

Edited on Feb 13, 2019 1:10pm

Downtown is GROWING.

The latest growth spurt is announcement of Circa and a 495 room additions to The Downtown Grand.

Circa will have 777 rooms.

Both to open in late 2020.

My concern is that with all this growth, downtown will get to big for it's britches.

I agree Robert, on next trip will stay downtown, but will explore some off strip casinos in case dowtown goes south in late 2020 & 2021. Also Fremont adding a wing & Horseshoe adding rooms , will monitor changes.

since when has the Horseshoe hotel re-opened? I thought they shut down hotel operations some like 5 or 6 years ago.....

Don't know date, was told by 4 Queens employee & read on line somewhere, contact Binions or 4 Queens for exact date & number of rooms, believe maybe 100ish rooms.

I was told by Binion's employee 2-3 years ago that the rooms were infested with bugs.I'm assuming that's why it has taken so long to reopen them.

Let's hope.

Hotel Apache is going to be where the original hotel Apache was it seems.

I guess the tower will remain untouched.
