Haha, if he was there on Valentine's day, so was I, I didn't see me in the video. I noticed the construction but didn't pay any attention to it.
Did you experience that long line for checkin? I've never seen a line like that even during March Madness and the Rodeo.
I'll probably skim through PlazaPod and see if Plaza CEO Jonathan Jossel has any mention of it. I'm always curious about what's being changed on Fremont.
I also saw in Vegas IRL's latest The D walkthrough the new carpet, lighting and games in the pit. I used to stay at Fitzgeralds since the 90s and for a few years after Derek took over to make it The D, but dislike the super loud music and poor comps which pushed me over to the Plaza. He also did a good walkthrough on El Cortez's 20m upgrade which looked very good.
But I still have fond memories of the place and I do love Andiamo, though Oscar's has won me over 9/10 times for the steakhouse meals I've had on Fremont other than the yearly LVA Top of Binion's coupon.
