Last Time DT, blew it.

We always do one night downtown.

Our vegas trips were in 2000, and 2002.

We blew our trips chasing coupins (Ron White), both times.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This time, no more chasing Ron White's.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sooooooooo,

When is the best time to be downtown?

To begin a night of whole downtown party?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5-7 PM
or later after 7 PM?

Well, depends on what kind of party you are looking for. 5-7 is a good time to start w/ happy hour specials and you can check out the new Fremont East lounges (Vanguard, Insert Coins, Beauty Bar, etc) before they get packed.
After 7 is light show time and most of the bars are a little more crowded.
Hell, If you just want to drink beer and talk trash to a tough crowd, Hogs N Heffers is open all night..

Have fun!!!
Marko..
Yes, I think that Marko is right in his assessment of this! I think that 5-7PM is too early to start much of anything rowdy unless maybe you want to start something at a very sedate level and work your way up. Do try to look around for some Happy Hours (there is occasionally info about them in issues of the LVA -- or look into the LVA archives as well).

I would say that 7PM is probably the earliest (maybe 8PM is a little better) to get things going (not that I party at all)!

Or, is there any way that you can spend any more time in Downtown than one night?

After 7 or 8. Then the street party gets going. Casino's are busy too, but that means good tables may be hard to find (low limits with regular odds, not that 6/5 blackjack crap).

Saw "Big Hoss" from Pawn Stars at Hogs and Heifers a couple of weeks ago. He was outside smoking. We were walking by on the way to MSS (although I have been in that bar before in the late afternoon and it was a fun time).

Don.

By party I guess I meant, early dinner, casino hop and party, not just party. So it looks like maybe an early bird time for dinner (5-6PM), and get to playing and drinking before 7PM.

We plan to stay until the next to last, or last Express Bus leaves, unless we are having too much fun.

If we are havng too much fun, then screw it, taxi it back whenever. However, I think 5-6 hours should be enough to enjoy downtown, you think this is good?

That sounds like a plan. Go to Oscars at Plaza or The Flame at El Cortez for dinner then go play around. The casinos will be busy and the bars will (most likely) be full. Walk around, find what you like and have fun. There are a TON of options all over Fremont and if you dont like one bar, there is another one just 20 feet away.

Have fun!!
