Longest Week Ever...

Vegas 2015 is 4 days away. This will be the longest week of the year followed by the fastest weekend of the year: 36 hours in Downtown Vegas (pre-trip report later this week).

I think I've mentally packed 20 times and planned out my "coupon run" another 50.

The hardest part now is trying to explain how/why I take a solo trip to Vegas.

How about for your explaining this saying that Las Vegas is the best place for me to: decompress; refresh (at least) my mind if not also my body; take a break from my normal life; have a complete change of scenery and to also have some fun playing and doing other things while increasing my chance of making some money as well as saving some money due to a smart and disciplined usage of coupons and/or other promotions. Coming to Las Vegas can end up being an inexpensive vacation if a person knows how to do things in the best possible manner.

I think that LV is a great place to have a solo trip. I have been there alone before and liked it very much to be able to come and go wherever and whenever I want as well as to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted.

And don't forget while you are there to also check out the Freebie magazines available (when you're Downtown, some are at Four Queens by the Tickets 4 Tonight booth and at Plaza they are found in front of Hash House A-Go-Go) since you never know what may be in there. There might actually be something(s) in there that is/are good enough to make you make a change in your plans.

And maybe while on this visit you can also take advantage of the "Win Cards" promotion at least at Circus-Circus (at least if you have not done it within the last 6 months). If you do this Win Cards at CC (go to the Slot Club booth to get what you need) promotion, make sure that you do both the $30 for $20 as well as the $15 for $10 deals.

The vouchers that you get you will then need to take to the casino cashier from where you will get the packages of chips (and a slip for a bet for the Dealer) plus not great Strategy Cards (please note that the Blackjack information there is pretty bad).

Enjoy!

Good! I'm happy that I could help!

Actually, I think that people can not understand this (how or why someone would want to go to LV on a solo trip) because they vastly all think that anyone who goes to Las Vegas will at least vastly lose one way or another. They don't know that there are actually ways that losses can be minimized and/or that people can win -- especially through the use of coupons and/or other promotions.

You used a great word: decompress.

I have 2 jobs and a 2 year old. For me, even just 36 hours playing downtown is a much needed relaxing trip. Granted, when I bring my wife, who has never been to Vegas, we will be tourists. Get a room on the Strip, go the the Cirque shows, the nicer restaurants etc.
But for me, its all about an adult beverage, coupon runs, seeing whats new downtown and some quality time at the tables, at 2 am.
