Looking for info on El Cortez rooms

Thanks Muskeg and RVP for your thoughts. Even though I smoke, I prefer to stay in a non-smoking room. I do remember that the casino was somewhat smoky, which I attributed to a combination of the clientele and the lower ceilings. I am intrigued by the cabana suites, but not sure how crazy I am about walking across the street to go to my room, though it probably is no further than walking from the casino to the elevators at Sunset Station (and possibly not even that far). Will have to see what my offers are when they arrive.

I can say that El Cortez Casino's smokiness has gotten better than it used to be because I think that they now have a better air purification system.

It used to be what I (a non-smoker) would consider to be a very smokey place.

OMG. The walk to your room at Sunset takes forever compared to the Cabana Suites. 30 seconds from casino to the lobby. But, if I were you, I would take the tower, because I don't want anybody to know about the Suites.
I wouldn't sweat the trek to the Cabana Suites either. Go out the back of the casino and it is right across Ogden. There isn't much traffic on Ogden and there is always a security guard outside the door, so there are really no concerns about hassle or your safety.

That having been said, I much prefer the Tower. The way the rooms at Cabana are laid out, you don't have much space, and I don't really care for the loud lime green. The bathrooms are very nice, though.

Liked the Tower Room over the cabana.
Thanks, vpbauer, mckenztf and fvenis for your thoughts. I am leaning toward the Tower rooms at this time, so will have to wait and see what my offers are when they are posted. I so appreciate everyone who has taken the time to respond to my questions!

Free Wi-Fi in the Cabana Suites, not in Tower Rooms. I think the Tower Rooms are little more comfy. The green wow-zie decor does get a little old.
