Loving Downtown!

I've noticed the posts have died off here, I'm probably not going till first week of May 17' for a keno tourney at the D. Although I'd love to hear about anything happening DT. New restaurants, happy hours ect. ( I've not been since May 2016)
We are staying downtown for the first time on our November trip. We usually stay at the Rio but a few days at the end of the trip are way more expensive than normal. So we are staying our last three nights at Main Street Station. I will try to report back after we go!
Have fun! I've never stayed at MS... The buffet is good, plan to use a coupon on a special night. Coffee shop at the California, pizza rock happ hour. All close.
I will be staying downtown, 2 weeks from today. 4 nights at the Flea-mont and 1 night at the DG. I have been meaning to try the pancakes at Dupars, that has been on my list for a while. I find plenty to keep me busy when I am downtown, of course I can get more done than if I were on the strip. if you have the LVA MRB, let the coupons be your guide. that will give your day just the right amount of structure. I find that when I am in Vegas, the time disappears just as fast as your money, if not faster.

True! There's a ton of decent happy hours too. You can use the match-plays, free slot play, coupons for meals. Downtown is affordable ...a lot leftover to gamble with!
I'll be at the fleamont too as vegasdev puts it (lol), but I'll be there one week after vegasdev (3rd week in October). Someone I know got me some comp nights. For some reason most downtown Boyd hotels were either sold out or had very high rates for October. Anyone know why they are sold out or has very high rates?
Hello-call directly to the casino. I saw same thing on-line for the Orleans and they told me there was a computer glitch that caused that. We all know they are not sold out!
I am looking to book for 10/15 and everything everywhere is sold out or outrageous.
I finally made it to Don't tell Mama across El Co this trip and had a blast. It is a piano type karaoke. Reasonable drink prices.
For happy hour chart house at the Nugget is still my favorite. The best prime rib sliders and skinny fries and friends.
You're right, chart house has a decent happy hour.
We are staying at Cortez in a couple of weeks Had no problem getting a reservation. If rooms hadn't been comped The Cabana suite would have still been very reasonable. I know since we have been coming out and staying DT for past 6 years there are lot's of conventions being held downtown. so that might have something to do with it and yes as someone had stated call the hotels directly if you have played at all you might get a deal at least casino rates if nothing else
