I generally stay at the 4Q at least twice per year, so I eat a fair amount in Magnolia's. Perhaps it's because I tend to eat when it's not crowded, I've never had an issue with the service. I've eaten a lot of different things on the menu, and the only entree I've ever had that wasn't good was the broiled seafood platter (although I'll add that if you get an entree that comes with the vegetables, stay away from the carrots).
If you get anything more than a sandwich, it comes with soup or salad. I've had several really good soups there.
Like most coffee shops, the portions are huge. The food isn't fancy - something to get you in and out in a hurry, with a belly full of comfort food. Prices are reasonable, and they give out twofers like crazy.
It's one of my favorite coffee shops.
