The walk would be safe, since there are no mobsters lying in wait to mug you. They are all in the Museum!
No problem with the walk. Our group did a guided tour a couple of years ago and it was pretty neat.

Maybe 10 minutes from the Golden Nugget. We did not try the bar as we were on a timeline to get our group of 15 back to our suite to watch our Purdue Boilermakers lose a football game. I'm guessing the guided tour takes 90 minutes............maybe two hours.
