Mobbed at the Mob Museum

It was well done and we spent over 3 hours there but there were some things that disappointed.
Most of the exhibits were text and video. I expected to see more artifacts. They were few and not labelled well.
Example - there was a machine gun there but nothing to indicate where it was from or who it belonged to.
Same with the runners bag. Biggest disappointment for me was that there were no mob vehicles there.
Having said that, I still highly recommend it.

I'll be there late next month and can't wait to see it. Bushman mentioned it was the same folks who did the Spy Museum. I'm two hours from DC and still haven't seen the Spy Museum, but I've heard great things about it as well.

I work in DC and it's only a few blocks away. Still, make the effort to go see it, and combine that w/ a trip to the Smithsonian museums just 2/3 blocks away. Make a day of it!

Tonyrob, I could not have said it better!!!!Still it was worth the money. IMO they did not glorify the mob either, to be in the mob would have been a nightmare!

Any coupons, discounts or specials available for the museum ... will be downtown for March Madness next week and I will need a break.
$4 off coupon in the member rewards online section. Go get 'em!

got it ... good timing from the LVA and for my trip next week ... I see the coupon is good for 2 people .... thanks
I went this past Monday-it really is a great museum, and 90 percent of their videos are subtitled, so this is great for Deaf people and hard-of-hearing people who go. It's helpful as well b/c a lot of mobsters don't seem to speak very clearly
I gotta check Hours cuz we plan to visit end of April Weekend. Won't be crowded, right?
What is the admission cost? What are the hours of operation?
