MSS vs. The Cal...your thoughts!

We have stayed at both. I think the Cal is a little better because it is not as close to the highway. That being said we are staying at MST in August because of a better offer. Cant go wrong with either place.

Thanks Charlie. My offer is 2 days comped at either. If you had that exact choice then what would you do.... and why???

I do know that the 777 Brew Pub does offer as a choice a Beer Sampler where you get small samples of I think 6 or so beers. A friend of mine tried it.

I dont drink coach so that 1 doesnt work for me!

Hey Champ,

I don't drink either but I want to (as much as I can here) give people options.

Oh and although I have not stayed at either place, I think that I have seen photos of rooms where they had blinds instead of drapes (I know that this was the case when I stayed once at Fremont many years ago) and I did not like that! When I sleep, I want darkness! The blinds (slats) were providing too much light for my sleeping tastes. So do check into that!

Thanks Coach!!!
You're very welcome, Champ!

And if I'm now remembering correctly, it may have been more like shutters with slats (if you can check room Photos of Cal and/or MSS) and/or call each of them and ask questions!

Your VP Coach
Hey Champ,

Now go take a look at JMan's Day 15 report where he has photos of his room which has shutters in it! I personally would not be too happy with that!

If the shutters are the same as at MSS, they let in a lot of light (I think the Cal towers have their windows facing east and west, so half of the rooms will be even worse than the northern or southern exposure at MSS). If you're a light sleeper or are awakened by light, it's gonna be a problem.

Me, I have a job where I'm on milkman's hours, haven't woken up to anything but dark for four years.
No drapes? I shutter at the thought!
