New casino reality show (Binion's) airs tonight on TLC

Will we like Binion's as much as Canadians do?

Just like Alan Thicke, the metric system and poutine, the staff of Binion’s is a much bigger deal in Canada.

But that could change now that TLC has acquired the 10-episode reality show “Casino Confidential” (8 p.m. today).

Filmed over the summer of 2011 for the Canadian cable channel TVtropolis, the series follows the bosses, dining staff, security and Cowgirls — the young, booty-shorts-and-fishnets-wearing dealers — at the famed Fremont Street casino.
Thanks for the info. We will check it out.
Thanks....I just got done setting the DVR!
Thanks Prefect for that information! I'll keep my eyes open for it!

IMHO, it was terrible.

Switch a BJ dealer to deal live poker in a tournament??

And who in their right mind would expect a person who never dealt BJ before be able to run a live game with 5 minutes of training? I guess the management at Binions never heard of many dealer's schools in Las Vegas.

If this is any indication of the level of expertise of Binion's management, then Terry Caudill had better find new people.

But I guess it was marginally better than reruns of The Big Bang Theory. Wait a minute, just thought about Kaley Cuoco...nevermind it ain't better...even marginally.
Yes, I so far have not been impressed with the two episodes that I saw (it also repeated at 1AM Pacific Time on Friday Morning). I was surprised that they would have a person deal who basically did not go to a Dealer's School!

Also, my cable company (Time Warner) listed the show as being new (2013), but I called them and told them that (at least according to the article that you [Prefect] provided) the show actually was from 2011 but had up until now never been shown in the United States and that they didn't update any information -- like that the racing Daughter gave up on the sport.

I'll continue watching since I like anything LV related, but I definitely don't have any high hopes for the show and it also is too bad that Binion's gaming (at least from what I understand) is not what I would consider to be playable enough.

I didn't hate the show, but didn't love it either. Helpful, huh?

I liked it because it's a Vegas show, and I always love seeing the lights and excitement, especially on Fremont.

However, I thought it made Binion's look pretty unprofessional. I know it's scripted, but after telling the poker dealer not to drink the night before the tournament, and she gets slammed drinking at the bar (which I didn't think was smiled upon by most establishments), it looked like amateur hour.

And does anybody else think Bachelor and Bachelorette parties in Vegas have gone beyond the point of absurdity these days? It's all "Jersey Shore" idiots or wannabees...

I agree that it is not very good, but at least it is vegas. I like binions, but the show does not put it in a good light.
Has the show been cancelled?

I can't find it by searching Casino Confidential, Binions or even just Vegas online. I know I set the DVR to record the next couple of episodes, but it's no longer in my queue either!

It wasn't that great, but it wasn't that bad either.

Anyone got a clue?
I don't know the answer, but noticed the change as well. now I have a show about tattoos listed in the time spot. I'm guessing it is either cancelled or postponed.
