New Market Opening Downtown On Fremont Street 10/8/14

Hi Group,

I just ran across an article from VegasInc.com which says that a new Downtown LV Grocery Store will be opening up on October 8.

I think that it's about time and would certainly make things easier for me if I want more or other food at a non rip-off price.

The market is expected to be open from 7AM-10PM Sunday through Thursday and 7AM-12 Midnight Friday and Saturday! I'm happy with that!

I will be so interested in this! There the 15th will check it out.

Nice little market - lots of prepared foods, coffee bar, "healthy" snacks, some bulk items(nuts, trail mix, etc.) Also a very small produce section. Oh, they also sell alcohol....

Thanks for the update, Melonhead! I will do what I can to check it out whenever I return. Do they sell Milk, Bread, Eggs and other groceries (like Plastic Wrap, Plates, Utensils, Frozen Food [Ice Cream])?

Since I ended up having a shortened trip, I didn't make it over to the market (at least not during the hours that they were open).

While there is nothing truly innovative about The Market, it's certainly a welcome addition to the expanding palette that is today's Fremont East. The layout is pleasing, the focus on natural foods is welcome, and the prepared selections look absolutely delicious. There's a little Trader Joe's, a whole lotta Whole Foods, and just the right amount of neighborhood cafe. I liked it, and chances are, you will, too.
