New Slot Club Coming To Plaza/Las Vegas Club Casinos Effective July 1, 2013

Hey Group,

I just got in the Snail Mail some information about Plaza/Las Vegas Club changing their Slot Club which will be called "Royal Rewards."

The slot club will become Tiered (with Four Levels which have to do with how many Tier Credits are earned during some kind of time period -- I think a year [but I'm not sure yet]. The tiers are called "Jack" (which is 0 - 1,999 Tier Credits), "Queen" (which is 2,000 - 24,999 Tier Credits), "King" (which is 25,000 - 99,999 Tier Credits) and "Ace" (which is 100,000+ Tier Credits).

Each level will offer different benefits, but from what I'm reading right now, it's looking like except maybe for the people in the "King" and "Ace" Tiers, getting Cashback will not be an option -- for the Jack and Queen Tiers, it seems that it will only be Freeplay that players will be able to get for the points that they have earned.

The information is claiming that there is "More Free Slot Play than ever before (at all tier levels)! And also, it says that there will be "Instant Tier Matching" from any other Las Vegas Players Club.

There also will be an "Everyday Royal Flush Free Slot Play Bonus," and for that, Jack Tier members will get 10%, Queen Tier members will get 25%, King Tier members will get 50% and Ace Tier members will get 100% (but of what percentage of what, I don't know).

Another thing going on will be "Everyday Bingo Bucks Multiplier" and for Queen Tier members it is 2X, for King Tier members it is 3X and for Ace Tier members it is 4X.

Also, there will be an "Every Day Slot Point Multiplier" which will be for the King and Ace Tiers onl which is 2X points for both of those levels.

And finally as another benefits of the tier levels, effective January 2014, two tickets for a Complimentary Annual Royal Caribbean Cruise will be awarded annually per account to those members whose prior calendar year's play exceeds 100,000 tier credits.

Other things are supposedly going to change which include (although I don't know whether or not this applies to Plaza hotel guests) Complimentary Fitness Center Access and Complimentary Pool Entrance.

For more information, check with Plaza/Las Vegas Club's Slot Club.

More free play for Slot players less for VP. VP takes $3 a point and therefore free play is 0.166% for the lower tiers.

Not much VP at Las Vegas Club (and I don't know of any VP at Plaza that) takes $3 of coin-in to earn a point (I do know that one or two games at Las Vegas Club say that they take $3 of coin-in to earn a point). But this does not go for 9/6 Jacks or (I think) 8/5 Bonus Poker or 9/7/5 Double Bonus Poker (at least as of June 5th). With 9/6 Jacks (which I did play at both Plaza and LVC between June 2nd and June 5th), it was still $1 of coin-in per point. Is that still the case or has that changed since June 5th?

According to their facebook page VP will take $3 a point when new system is in place.

Wow, that's not good! Thanks Kiwiboy for letting me know about that since I am not on Facebook!
That change might end up changing things for me for the future! I'll have to find out what figures will be coming from Freeplay and Comps to see if it will be worth it for me to continue on there between 9/6 Jacks Play and Virtual Blackjack play.

If the Royal bonus is based on the value of the royal, that will be $1000 freeplay at the queen tier if you hit a royal. That is a fairly significant addition to the expected return.
I believe the royal bonus will be set at a value based on denomination, such as $50 for a quarter royal, $250 for a Dollar royal (these numbers are made up, the actual numbers have not been posted). You then get your bonus on the above (queen would get $60 for a quarter royal).
Thanks, Rec. I got the brochure in the mail, too; kiwi is right, $3/pt on VP, so it would be $75K coin-in per year to make King (and thus be eligible for cashback), and at the Queen level (where we are), the FP is 0.167%, used to be 0.3%. We'll see what the royal flush bonus turns out to be.

Now, the bad news is that the Plaza has downgraded their VP inventory, best they have now is 9/7 DB and Illinois Deuces. LV Club still has 9/6 JoB and some good deuces games (so far, as per vpFree2, anyway), but I really think they're dying, no hotel, no food, back casino is closed, etc.; we were there in March and asked one of the boothlings about the upcoming renovation and she laughed and said that there was no money for any sort of renovation.

I think we may need to say goodbye to the Plaza if there's nothing playable anymore. It's a shame, it's a really cool old place and I really like Island Sushi. They are already letting the place go, though; when we were there in March, the rooms were poorly maintained (lots of little things already broken), the maid never came and most of the elevators were out of order. Damned shame.

When I was there in early June, at least LV Club still had playable stuff. As long as that is still the case and as long as the slot clubs are connected, I'll still play there, but if things get a lot worse, then I'll have to give up on them as well!

But maybe they've moved around stuff and 9/6 Jacks could now be elsewhere at Plaza.

And I didn't have any problems with the Hotel (I stayed in the South Tower) last month.

Hopefully I'll return to visit LV the second week in October and see what's what.

Hey, Rec. We'll be downtown later this month; we're not staying at the Plaza, but I'll definitely get over there and look around. vpFree2 is usually reasonably accurate and I'm guessing that the 9/6 JoB is gone (but there are probably still the old MGMD slant-tops at the LV Club, I'll check on them, too). I would hate to give up on them, I like the Plaza and like our host, but if there's nothing playable I'll need to look elsewhere.
