The current executive management team at Boyd Gaming needs to read this article again and again and again.
agree with don....it'd be wise for Boyd read and re read til this "past way of thinking "about the customer as well as the "low rollers" who made them what they are,....just my opinion....
Unfortunatly, non- Hawaiians aren't treated as welcomed. I stayed there last year (comped) and the room sucked. The woman who checked us in acted like we were bums begging for a handout. She gave us the smallest room on the end hall, at the farthest spot away from the elevators. Also, she clearly new that they were doing construction/remodeling in that area too. We couldn't open the small referidgerator all the way as the bed was in the way. Also, to close the bathroom door, we had to step into the shower.
I am also non-Hawaiian and have never encountered a problem at the Cal. The desk help have always been helpful and kind. The rooms have always been nice. I love staying at the Cal - it is my favorite place to stay downtown, and my rooms have always been comped. I guess that I have been lucky, or Todd was unlucky.
