Parking

My wife and I are coming to Las vegas in three days and plan on making a stop downtown. We used to park at the El Cortez. But now they charge you. Is there any place we can park for free still. Including getting your ticket validated and for how long can you stay there?

I like to park at the Fremont valet. Quick, easy and cheap @ $2 (that is what I tip) for as long as you want to stay.

same here.... the Fremont hotel valet, almost seems like a best kept secret. (lets keep it that way) pretty quick in and out, a few bucks for tip and you are on your way.

When did they start charging for parking at El Cortez? I know sometimes I had to show my club card. Might as well use valet if that is the case.

You can park at the other parking structure which the El Cortez owns (intersects with Ogden and 7th Street). A few months ago, we parked there for free. The booth was unmanned and there was ample parking. It is across the street from the Cabana Suites and essentially one block away from the El Cortez.

- DOwntown Grand is free with validation....
- El Cortez was free for me last time (Fall 2014)...just had to show the attendant my players card. They dont want clubbers parking there.
- MSS garage is usually free....you have to go to the one furthest north on Main St

In February the El Cortez garage at 7th and Ogden was charging $5.00. A higher level players card still got you in free but a basic El Cortez card was only good for 1/2 off so had to pay $2.50

I stayed at the El Cortez a week and a half ago and the attendant never stopped me from entering.Just waved me by.Might make a difference if something big is going on in town.
