Pasta Pirate or The Flame

Tried a search for these, got errors.
I keep hearing these two restaurant names pop up. Are the both good? Which one is better and why?
Thanks.
Never eaten at Pasta Pirate but The Flame is one of my favorites.Very good food and the mrb coupon makes it a great value.
What about the dress code at The Flame? Can we get by with dress shorts and a nice shirt?
Over dressed!

I have not dined at either place, but they are on my bucket list... the California Club has 3 good restaurants... according to dining comments on different sites. They are closed on some days. I believe there is 40% off if you use your Boyd's card to pay for your meal.

Pasta Pirate has a Steak & Lobster special ...$18. 7oz. sirloin & Lobster tail or 6 oz. filet mignon w/prawns or w/lobster tail... $20. include zuppa di pesce or salad, wine, bread. Also there is a daily chef's special. An appetizer that looks interesting is the seafood medley... oven roasted scoops buttery cheesy shrimp, lobster, crab.
---
Redwood Grill has $24.00, 18 oz. porterhouse, soup or salad, starch, apple dumpling, ice cream, rum sauce. King crab legs $40. Don’t order 16 oz. sirloin in error.
---
Market St. Cafe - This one I have had... the place is not fancy at all. ... $9.95 Prime rib 8 oz. cut, veggie, soup or salad, starch, cherries jubilee. It is a thin, not thick piece of prime rib, but mine was tender, juicy and tasty.

Bon Appetit!
I love the Flame. It's the one decent dinner we always have on my guys' trip. Great, old school steakhouse with a guy playing American standards on the piano. And with the LVA coupon, you can get out of there for less than $50 each, even with wine and/or cocktails.
The Flame is a legitimate fine dining establishment. Pasta Pirate is a cheap Italian Eatery. Both are good but not really comparable as they are in different echelons of quality and price.
I haven't been to Pasta Pirate, but have eaten at the Flame several times. If you go there expecting Craftsteak or a similar high-dollar place, you'll be disapponted. But I think it's a very good value, especially with the LVA or ACG coupon. I really like their salmon. The trout almondine is very good when they have it, as is the steak Diane.
The Flame it is.
Thanks for the help!

I almost always wear shorts and a collared shirt at the Flame.
