Pasta Pirate or The Flame

I figured it was him, Coach. When we had him, maybe two years ago, this fuckbubble took our order, served everyone but my wife, then disappeared. Tracked him down after 20 minutes (everyone else was just about done eating), he said that the assistant waiter (the guy with the rolls) had screwed up the order and that it wasn't his fault. Manager made things right, and Coach's waiter got a zero tip. Bastard. Aside from him, service has always been great; I have no idea why they haven't deep-sixed him.

That's a great article, thanks for the link.To bad the Flame has taken lobster off the menu.

Mdenton, thanks for the link!
There have been times when we have had over 20 people with separate checks and all with coupons and we were served and taken care of with no problem. Yes for a group this size we did make reservations. In fact we have done this on about 6 different occasions. Only once did they give the wrong bill to the wrong person, and it was corrected immediately.

I haven't been there in about 2 years, but felt that the food had gone down hill a bit. I think my next trip I will try again to see if I feel it is better (could have been an off night for me)
We couldn't even get a table at Pasta Pirate. I highly recommend you call ahead for reservations. I think it was last Father's Day - maybe that's why. We showed up right when they opened (maybe 4 or 5:00?) and they said there was no availability until 9 or 10pm. Also, last time I ate at The Flame (it was a Tuesday) they made us wait an hour for a table even though the place was empty when we walked up (table for 2) and remained half empty once we were seated and through our entire meal. Strange. Anyway, we're going to try and get into Pasta Pirate and try that this year - - but I'll definitely call ahead this time!
