my fear is the free slot play will be at Hooters or Casino Royal on their notorious promotional slot machines, really wish I would have read this thread before jumping in and buying one all excited about my $300 in Plaza slot play, thought there is no way I will lose half of it on a good pay VP machine. There's your answer. The EV for $300 in slot play at Casino Royale is $0, plus maybe an hour of wasted time.
trying to get a refund from them is really starting to tick me off, too.

Well I can't say that I'm surprised about this turn of events! I was suspicious of it.

What a racket! THey should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. This is completely false advertising.
the following was posted on Plaza's facebook page:

We at the Plaza Hotel & Casino wish to clarify the recent promotion that Exotic Escapes Vacations marketed and sold through Living Social. While the hotel rooms and breakfast credit were accurate, the rest of the package sponsored by Exotic Escapes was promoted without our approval or consent and included amenities that are not offered by the Plaza. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience and confusion that this inaccurate information has caused our guests.

On April 5, Living Social issued a refund for the entire amount paid for the package for guests who have not yet redeemed their voucher. If you have additional questions, please email the Living Social Help Center at [email protected] and they will be able to assist.

We want to assist the customers who purchased this unauthorized benefits package as best as possible. The Plaza is offering an alternate package to those guests who purchased the Exotic Escapes Vacation package from Living Social and already have made travel reservations. We hope to have the chance to welcome you to the Plaza and appreciate your patience and understanding.
got the living social refund. Exotic Escapes charged the room tax when I booked, didn't refund it when I cancelled. I've made 2 phone calls to get the refund on that. I called again today & their voice mail box was full - couldn't even leave a message. I know it's only $19 and change, but I want it back!

Maybe you should contact Plaza about this. They might be able to help you by straightening things out with Exotic Escapes for not refunding the tax on the room that you have not used (although I'm seeing in what fremont4ever posted [having to do with The Fine Print] that supposedly taxes are paid directly to the property upon booking. If that is the case, then Plaza would need to refund the taxes that you paid).

The Plaza's Facebook page has a comment now that Exotic Escapes is no longer in business. That was in response to another posting about refunds.
I think I'll just do a credit card dispute.
I wonder how many people they still owe the $19 & change to?
