Plaza Free Airport Baggage Transport

The Plaza will transport your baggage to and from McCarran Airport. Even if you're not a guest. And it's free, so long as you're flying on Southwest, Delta, United, American, US Airways, JetBlue, WestJet or Virgin Atlantic.

According to Vegaschatter
Not really free if you are not a guest it cost minimum 10 per bag if you aren't staying at the Plaza

Why do you say that? Neither the story I linked nor this one from Vegas Inc. says that.

Seems to me that non-guests SHOULD be charged to avoid abuse, but those two stories don't say that.
The January issue of the Advisor also makes no mention of the service costing a dime to non-Plaza guests. Looks to be totally free.

Am I reading this wrong? If you read the 3rd paragraph from the bottom of the Vegas Inc link you posted, it says:
The standard service costs $10 per bag.
I'd love to use this if I thought it was free......but I don't know....
Reading the entire article answers your question.

Here's paragraph 4:

The Plaza downtown recently became the first hotel in Southern Nevada to offer guests free delivery of bags to and from McCarran International Airport. Other hotels offer a similar service but charge a fee.

It's free to the Plaza, or $10 per bag to other participating hotels. At least that's what VegasInc. reported three months ago.
That's great! Thanks for the clarification.
So if I am reading this right then I can have a reservation at Main Street Station, land at McCarren, have my bags shipped to the Plaza and pick them up there for free?

Sounds great but something tells me the fine print will cost a non-Plaza, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Mgm Grand, Riviera and Harrahs guest some coins. Hope I wrong!! great service for free. Heck even for $10.00!!

I could have used that service this past Sunday. My girl had a large suit case on which 1 of the rollers was broken, so it dragged especially on carpet. We even inquired about the service at McCarren to avoid carting both bags back to the airport however the baggage service at McCarren required bags be dropped off to them "at least 3hrs before departure" to insure prompt delivery to plane. Yeesh who returns a rental 3 hrs before the plane leaves???
Is there anyone who posts here that has actually used this service and can tell us how it actually does work? So far, all I have read are people stating their best guesses based on what they have heard or read.
