Get room 702. It is a mini-suite with balcony, looking right down the freemont street experience. Double check that the view hasn't been obstructed by the new video signs they have put up.

Are the bands out just on Friday and sat. nights, or every night ? Iwill be there on a WEd. and Thursday night and wonder if the noise will be bad up in the room . Bob

You will not have any problems with noise if you stay in the plaza.

I have had North Tower rooms and once last year it was noisy coming from Fremont Street, but during my stay there last month, also in a North Tower room, I didn't hear a thing (or certainly not much if anything). I would say that in the South Tower it is even less likely to hear noise from Fremont Street.

This is a crappy night picture from room number 1656 south tower. I could see the Rio better than what can be seen in this picture.

$35 a night for a newly remodeled, very clean room, no Fremont noise and a decent view is a great value in my book.

Hey Bob,

During my visit last month (October 2013), for Video Poker it was $3 of coin-in per point. As for Slots, I don't know because I don't play them but it could be $1 of coin-in per point.
