Plaza reopened today (with pics)

That's very good, prefect! Thank you for that information and I will check it out the next time I visit.

I actually a few weeks ago got an offer through September for either 2 Free Nights at Las Vegas Club and $20 in Freeplay or the option of paying $25 Per night (plus Tax I would think as well) at Plaza plus getting the $20 of Freeplay.

With that offer, since I really don't necessarily need any fancier stuff, I'll very likely stick with Las Vegas Club.

But I have been staying at one or the other of them for many years now!

I Cant wait to check this out..

How did the tables/pits look? Same location with the same amount of tables?

And, this may be a stretch, but they had a cocktail waitress there. I for the life of me cant remember her name, but she was well into her 60's and had blonde hair. Sweet as can be. I saw her every trip.
She told me a story about one of her (many) ex husbands who was involved in the mob and was in jail. Granted, she could have been lying, but it was a pretty damn good lie if so.
She had been working there for many many years. Wonder whats become of her..

She was just one of the many things I love/loved about the Plaza..

marko..
As of a few minutes ago, vpFree reported 3 machines with 9/6 JOB and 8/5 BP. I think they were 25c and 50c, don't recall if they had higher denoms.

If comps are even reasonable by downtown standards, this is looking like a great development.

I wonder if the play requirements there in order to get rooms comped will now be higher than Las Vegas Club since a lot of improvements have been made to the place!

Just out of curiosity, what are the requirements for a room comp at the Las Vegas Club?

From what I'm understanding, at least for machine play they are looking for about at the very least $1,500-$1,600 of coin-in per day for a room comp.

Although I also have been told previously that time played can also be a factor in it and they additionally have the option to look at whether you have won or lost as another possible factor into your receiving room comps or most especially other comps.

At Las Vegas Club and also at Plaza, it has been that players have two separate accounts -- points which can be used for cashback or Freeplay and then Comps which can be used in the Gift Shop or Restaurants (I think up to about $20 per day depending on your play).

I don't know if this is the way it will remain at Plaza.

Has anyone pics from the rooms/bathrooms?

Pit looked pretty much the same as it had in the past, but I never really spent a lot of time in there in the past. I was only there fora short period 2x that day in the morning, so no info on who's still there.

Plaza has unfortunately had a smell in the casino area. Did you previously notice that odor and is it still there?

BTW, walked through Las Vegas Club today....it's got the same smell. Kind of a "yeasty" smell of fermentation, decomposition, etc sort of smell, especially in the back of the property, away from the stronger smoke smell in the casino itself.

I saw that, too, but as was mentioned, not all of the machines are up and running yet. This is also just from one scouting report, others may find more FP machines and notify vpFree. I'm surprised that they don't have 9/6 JoB for dollars, though.

Anyone notice what the blackjack was like?
