I don't know if this is the way it will remain at Plaza.

I have to believe it will be higher at the Plaza. I think in the old days, the standard was $2K/day at the Plaza. Maybe they'll keep them easy for now to lure people in - I'll find out in a little over a week.
I'm no expert on the subtleties of marketing, but I think the parent company is really trying to differentiate the Plaza from their other properties. The Plaza's website has a totally different look and feel than the Las Vegas Club's site. There are no links to the LVC's website on the Plaza's website, and if you go to the LVC's site, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to see barely visible links to the Plaza and the Western. Compare that with Boyd, Station, and Caesar's sites, which have a consistent look and feel, and which make it easy to navigate to siste properties.
I don't think this is an accident, although it could just be that during the construction, they wanted to draw attention to the work being done there.
