The Plaza downtown will take another step toward reopening with the start of the hiring process for 800 positions.
Tamares Real Estate, which owns the hotel, will run the job fair Monday through Friday next week, then Tuesday through Friday after the Fourth of July holiday. Applications will be taken at the Las Vegas Club, across Main Street from the hotel, or online at www.plazahotelcasino.com.
The announcement did not detail how many of the jobs would be part-time. In addition, the total includes about 300 people who were laid off when the Plaza closed for renovation in November.
People will go on the payroll in August to prepare for the Sept. 1 reopening.
