Queens are Fremont

Ok I am leaning more to the Queens are Fremont now, can someone tell me the pros and cons never stayed Downtown.
I will be there for two nights. I do like a good room but I am only in it to sleep lol who has the best comps ect.
Thanks for any help
I've stayed at both somewhat recently (last at the Fremont in April, the Queens in November). Both have decent rooms with smallish bathrooms. Both are central for downtown (IMO). 4Q rooms tend to be cheaper. They also have the better coffee shop. The Fremont has a buffet, some dinner specials, and Tony Roma's. And a Dunkin' Donuts. Both have competent personnel without making a fetish of it. The 4Q has had some dealers that are very quiet. Their casino is brighter. Both have good video poker, though not the best. 5x odds @ 4Q craps, compared to 2x @ the Fremont. But the latter seems to more consistently have a game going. $3 min @ at least one craps table and some BJ tables at the Fremont. I think all their BJ games pay 3:2, whereas most of the lower min tables @ the 4Q (under $10) are 6:5 or worse. North Tower @ 4Q can be noisy during the Experience, South Tower less so. I've never gotten any mailings or comps from the 4Q, except $5 earned from play over the years (they have a nice cash/comp earn rate; I'll let others tell you about it, since I'm unsure of the details). I got one free night offer from the Fremont (which is what I used when I went) and have received offers from other Boyd properties, which I usually play at more.

Sorry for the ramble, but I'd say for the same price, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. But be sure to visit both, since they're right across the street from each other.
dunno what you play, mr circle track. the VP is likely better at 4q, if you like job, in particular. the craps table at 4q is quiet for longer on off hours, but you can take higher odds. cant help you with slot info. i also dont know the slot club cashback at the freemont, but the vpfree2 data for four queens appears correct, so dont forget your double points coupon from american casino guide. Good Luck!
Thanks for the replys I was going to stay at Fitzgeralds but after all the post I think I better change to one of these. I am not sure about DT never have been there in 8 years always stayed on the strip. I will stay DT for two night before going to the strip Mon - Fri. Just want to know what to espect DT

Thanks for aall the help

I've only stayed at the Fremont once (and it was several years ago) but I do remember that the bathroom was extremely tiny (with the towel rack in the back of the tub/shower and shutters in the rooms instead of shades [I prefer darkness when I sleep]), and so I think that Four Queens is better for both the room and for Video Poker as well as for comps or future rooms plus likely Freeplay offers!

If you're used to staying on the strip, you'd probably like the Golden Nugget. Have you checked out their rates for your dates? Their comps and games aren't spectacular, but their rooms are the nicest downtown, and you can walk to another casino to play.

Fitzgerald's comps are easy, but the rooms are only fair. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower they're okay, but it's a far cry from most Strip hotel rooms.
Both have a great location.

The gambling is better at the 4Queens and the rooms are larger (but not as large as places like Main Street Station, El Cortez, Las Vegas Club North Tower).

I think Fremont is a little cleaner and more attractively decorated. The rooms at the Fremont are pretty small especially the closets and bathrooms.

Golden Nugget is probably the best hotel downtown but the gambling is not as good and the prices are higher there...sort of feels like a "Strip" property located downtown.
4 Queens gets my vote, having stayed at both!
