"Life Is Beautiful" Festival

I've been turned away from two old fave hotels because they are sold out the weekend of Oct. 25 for this festival. It sounds as if it might actually be impossible to drive into downtown and park if you are just a regular old degenerate seeking decent VP and a good blackjack game. Does anyone know what I should expect?

I was there last year at that time, " You won't get your Hotel etc ! "

Yeah. I already got shut out of downtown hotels, so am staying at another standby, the Palace Station, which is fine. But I'm wondering about driving down there and parking. Is the freeway exit backed up? Is there any parking? Etc.

No parking at all downtown. Period .. I was staying at the ElCo. and, even as a guest, had a very hard time getting into and out of the place, everything was roped or closed off, had to have Casino personnel escort me into the property and out, Never Again !!!

If you can switch from Palace Station to Boulder Station, you can use the quick and frequent Boulder Highway Express bus to get to and from downtown. Bus service from Palace Station to downtown is a little more roundabout.

Texas Station would be another good one-busride option to consider
