resort fees

Which downtown hotels, if any, do not charge resort fees? I am looking for suggestions for a Saturday night stay in June. Thanks!

I believe that the Cal, Fremont and Main Street do not charge the ripoff "resort" fees - there may be others...

Neither does four Queens

4 Queens also had a green discount . If you don't have them clean the room you get 10 to use for food. You must stay more than one night to take advantage of it.

I've never heard of that one. when did this start? is it something they promote, or do you have to ask for it? I stayed there 2x last year, and each was for 2 nights.

They have signs at the front desk that say "ask us about going green". The employees have never suggested it, but are all ways willing to set it up if we ask. It has been going on for a year or so, I think.
