Rumor of Downtown Grand being sold

Going to vegas soon and will be staying here part of the time.

Decided to stay partially because I stayed at Lady Luck the first time I went to Vegas as an adult and thought it would be fun to see what it's like now. But mostly because they had a pretty good special. 2 nights (fri and sat) totals $250 after taxes and fees. Includes a $100 f&b credit and 4 "drink tickets". Looking at spending the f&b credit at triple George while also using the lva 100 for 75 coupon.

Had trouble finding a better deal than that for the weekend.

Side note, the location is actually one of the things I kind of like about it. Still close to everything but far enough away you don't hear a lot of stuff from the room.

Well, it's certainly not even vaguely reminiscent of the Lady Luck, but yeah, its location is a bit removed from the FSE, and therefore quieter.

You may not be able to spend your food credit at the same time you deploy the coupon. No worries, it ain't hard to spend $100 at any of their restaurants. Check for specials.

Decent rooms, you will have a good trip.  good luck, and have a great LVA coupon run

Do you have a recommendation as to the room location to request?

It has been awhile since we stayed there, but the rooms across the walkway used to be the nicer ones

The ones on the same side as the casino are considered to be the premium ones. They're more expensive to begin with, and if you use the LVA coupon, you automatically get stuck on the other side unless you pay for an upgrade to the closer tower.

I've only stayed in the far tower, so I can't offer a room comparison, but I can tell you that my room was really nice, and spacious. The downside is that you really do have to walk walk walk walk walk to get there from the casino.

Since I drive there, I love the walking as long as I can find a little shade.  Thanks for the info.

This thread is now one year old.

Sure, it will eventually be true. Downtown Grand will be sold someday. Everything eventually is sold.

But not yet.
