Safe Walk to Downtown Grand?

Obviously it is a very short walk from Fremont Street Experience. The street is well lit, and I would not even ask during most hours. However, say you are at the Golden Nugget at 3AM or 4AM and you decide to go to the Downtown Grand. The street would appear deserted at that time. Would folks consider that a safe walk? Just for referenceI would consider the walk safe to other hotels in the mall area at that time.

Yes, its safe. Except for the gauntlet streetwalking, std-infected, meth-addict hookers that will chase after you for some business. There're cops on the street at all hours of the day/night.
Walking to DOwntown Grand is every bit as safe as walking to Binions

I think it is safe at anytime. If you walk down the middle, as opposed to close to the buildings, you would be out in the open view of everything.

Thank you. That is good to know. I take full advantage of 24 hour Las Vegas and can sleep and and get up at almost any time. So sometimes I keep unusual hours and like to walk from one casino to another on a whim. Thanks again for the input.

That's good advice. I always try to stay in the middle as much as possible when walking around downtown. I keep my peripheral vision focused so I can gently weave to either side if I see something I don't like.

Do you keep your trusty can of Raid ready just in case ?
