Solo dining Downtown

Do you find that the higher end restaurants frown on or discourage solo diners?
No.

Why would they?
Though I usually only dine at the Flame and once in a while Tony Romas at the Fremont, dining solo has never been a problem.Especially if you have a reservation.
I am usually alone and never found it to be a problem.

I too ate at the Flame on a number of occasions with no issue.

I too have dined solo downtown numerous times with no problem. One of the best pieces of advice someone gave me was to eat at the bar or deli counter. There is normally little to no wait and the service is faster.

marko..

Thanks all for the replies.
I've never had a problem either.
I've dined at the very romantic Hugo's Cellar by myself without any issue. The staff was lovely and I even got a long-stemmed rose despite the solo dining.

I have also dined at Hugo's alone but no rose for me since I'm a dude.
I have dined solo at the Flame (El Cortez) and the Redwood Room (California) several times and never had a problem.

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times......
