Great article Marko. My personal solo trip is going to Las Vegas in January for either the wildcard weekend or the divisional playoff of the NFL - 2 games Saturday and 2 games Sunday. Love hanging out in the sports book, playing some video poker and BS'ing with the other folks watching the game. One year my wife came and we were there over the college bowls as well. The next year I asked if she wanted to come again, and she said "No Way - I watched 14 football games last time!" So she's more than happy to have me away for a few days, and I love the complete freedom a solo trip brings.

Great article. I do at least one solo trip a year. Vegas has to be one of the few places in the world where we can go by yourself and either be completely alone or be with thousands of other people and you get to choose your level of interaction.

Great pros/cons! I solo to Vegas 4 times a year (and I'm a woman). Love every minute of it! FYI, my husband doesn't like Vegas, either, but I did bring him a couple times. He spent more money golfing and sight seeing than I did gambling, lol! I leave him home, now. Makes for a much better, more relaxing vacation for me. And I can indulge in a 3 hour spa, too, without worrying about somebody waiting for me.
