Thanks David, Pretty sad. I do see people playing these game at the Circa.
My group of 17 Purdue college friends are making our second trip to Laughlin after 40 annual trips to Vegas. We've had enough. First, the strip got too expensive for a large suite and a bunch of regular rooms. Then we moved primarily to downtown, and a bunch of us had enough of the freak show and the panhandlers. Laughlin year two...November 6-10.
Actually, I can see why some people might want to play craps, but not with a bunch of screaming idiots smoking cigarettes. The machine game offers a different experience, that's all. Not necessarily worse or better.
If you want the screaming loony tunes craps experience, the Four Queens offers that in abundance.
Also, the machine craps game lets you play for $5 or even $1, not $15.
Ugh. We just stayed downtown ( Circa ) for the first time in 30 years. Played quite a bit at GG with some excellent matchplays and really had a good time. When we see these electronic games there is ZERO interest in playing, and the unfortunate thing is that they are popping up everywhere. Not high rollers, but we go to LV 2-3 times a year for the last 30 and it's stuff like this that is discouraging future visits. STOP KILLING VEGAS PLEASE !!!
Well, to the bean counters I'm sure that electronic craps is a winner: no personnel, smaller footprint, faster game. They don't factor in the social aspects of the game. Probably moot anyway.

If the bean counters lowered the table limits to a sane $5 instead of the greedy $15 or worse, then they'd make a LOT more money. As it is, you can easily lose $100 in two minutes.

Yes, the casinos are all run by morons who have no hard data at all from experience won over decades of hard work and investment.
We, their customers, totally know so much more about gambling profitability than they do.
🙄
They are just ruining the gambling experience. I used to jump at every opportunity to go. Not so much anymore.

I, actually, do. I've seen Vegas when it was a great bargain vacation experience and I'm seeing it now. That theyve deliberately chosen the gouge indicates that they are, in fact, morons. The gouge drives away customers, often permanently. They make short-term profits, but the long-term effect is a drop in visitation.
And now, their moronitude is being underscored by their efforts to blame anything besides the gouge. They do not, in fact, know what the hell they're doing.
