Thoughts on Fremont?

We stay a couple nights downtown, usually at Main Street or the D. We received free night offers at Fremont. Obviously, great room is not a priority for me, but clean and quiet are. Have any of you stayed in the Fremont and do you have any hints for check in to get a quieter room? Thanks in advance.
just ask, they are used to it. all of the hotel front desk clerks on fremont steet are familiar with that request. ive stayed at MSS/the Cal/Fremont. I don't remember the Fremont being too noisy. the GG and the 4Q do offer a lot of noise. the rooms at the Cal seem slightly bigger and have a refrigerator in the room.
The one time that I stayed at Fremont, the bathroom was so small that the Towel Rack was in the back of the Shower/Tub combo. As for noise avoidance, maybe you should ask for something as far away from Fremont Street (as well as far away from the side that has The D and Four Queens -- since there is a music stage between the two of them) as possible.

And I want you to know that Fremont had Shutters in the room in case light in your room maybe waking you up is an issue.

Just ask for a room farther away from Fremont Street when you check in.

Also keep in mind that if you're used to the rooms at Main Street Station that the rooms at the Fremont are about 1/3 of the size. The bathrooms are downright tiny. I've had rooms at other hotels where the closet is larger.

Yes the rooms are very small. If you like coffee when you roll out of bed ask them to put a coffee maker in your room after you check in.
I stayed at the Fremont last summer. Rooms are small, but I was solo so it was fine. It might a little tight for two, especially on the bathroom counter which will not hold two sets toiletries without a platoon system. Other than that a couple might survive if you don't require spacious surroundings, rooms are clean and comfortable.
Avoid rooms on the south end of the tower to eliminate noise. Location is great right in the middle of things. VP is decent at the quarter level and above. Tony Romas runs a prime rib special every night that is good from what I was told. The 2nd St Grille has a killer T-bone special and there is a snack bar for filler food and coffee in the morning. I give mixed reviews to the buffet. Breakfast is fine, I had the Seafood buffet a couple of years ago and was nonplussed. Avoid Steak night at all costs. I asked ahead of time if steaks were cooked by order and was told yes. They are, but they are the thinnest steak I've ever seen in a restaurant. The café in in the same space as the buffet, but I've never eaten there. That's all I've got.

Good Luck!

don't waste your time at the buffet at the Fremont. well, unless you are craving bland garbage.
