walk from Fremont St to Ellis Island Casino

Back before I had my foot surgery and when I was in great shape, I walked from the MGM Grand to Lady Luck in downtown Las Vegas in the middle of summer. Didn't stop at all, just carried a bottle of water. I didn't think it was a big deal then, but I'm not capable of doing it now, let alone in the summer heat. I wouldn't do it, unless you're in tremendous shape and can carry a gallon of water with you.
Ellis Island was running a promotion where they would give you free play in the amount of your taxi charges to get there all you had to do was show a receipt. Anyone know if that promo is still ongoing? It might say so on their website, or at least you can get their phone number there and call them. I'm sorry, but I'm far too lazy to look this up for you.

Cheers,
Deanna

They no longer do the "cab fare free play" promotion.
But it shouldn't be more than a $25 cab ride from downtown.

marko..
Don't do it! Take a cab or ride a bus. OR here's a thought.... Give Ellis Island a miss! SO many other more interesting and less sketchy places to go. DO NOT WALK IT!!!!!

I would not recommend walking this... it's 4.5 miles and in the summer heat is horrible. Take an Uber or bus.

Take the Deuce From Freemont Street to Caesar's Palace, then walk half a mile east on Flamingo to Koval.  Take a right on Koval. Yep, that's it, right there.

Are we ignoring the fact that this is a 10-year-old thread? The best bus route from Fremont to Ellis Island is the CX which stops at Flamingo & Koval.

I wouldn't walk even from Caesar's now. Maybe evening when cools down.

most recently at 10pm My son talked me into walking from Wynns back

to Flamingo. You can stop and rest along the way in Casinos along the way. That's a different story then walking from downtown. I don't know your situation. For me I am just getting old.

Take advice bus taxi.
