I just read an article from Vital Vegas about Stadium Hybrid Craps at DTG and he stated that there are no more $5 tables!! I always looked forward to playing with my wife and beginner friends at DTG for $5 for a cheaper starting experience. Can anyone confirm that the $5 tables are gone?

There are a few--very few--$5 table games left, at the bottom-tier locals' casinos--sometimes. Otherwise...$10 minimums, and often $15.
Only a few, very few $5 table games are still available, sporadically, at the lower-tier neighbourhood casinos. Otherwise, minimums of $10 and frequently $15.
We were at Downtown Grand on thursday and the craps table was closed and the stadium table was going strong. The best place to play 5 dollar ctaps is Ellis Island or Jerrys Nugget
Sometimes El cortez drops their table down to $5 during the day. Never at night. Good luck getting a spot at Ellis Island ... the table is packed from the second it opens after dinner.
we have been playing craps at Ellis Island in the mournings. It is easier to get on the craps table than to get seated in the cafe.
Though not in Downtown, South Point still has $5 blackjack.
Thanks for the info. Going to LV 3/19 with new craps players. Going to be downtown most of the week. I was hoping DTG still had $5 craps. The dealers were always helpful with my newbie friends. Staying at El Cortez, hopefully we can get some morning sessions in to get them used to the game. Thanks again for the info!
Follow up on $5 craps. Just returned from 3/20-3/24 trip. $5 craps still available at DTG at live table ( the electronic Player roll stadium table is gone, that didn't last long ), Ellis Island still has $5 table and the added a new $10 table outside the pit area. El Cortez has a Bubble Craps with $5 min and 5x odds. That was the only 5 x odds I saw, everthing else was 2 X. ( Casino Royale used to has 5X odds, but i didn't go there this trip )
