What I Miss About Vegas..

Our first child will be here in the next few weeks. Im excited, scared and nervous but this also means no more trips to Vegas for the forseeable future (last trip was in August)..
While we wait for pamper butt, Im going through a Vegas Withdrawl and thinking outloud about some of the things I miss about Vegas..

Consider this a vent, or therapy.

- The long packed flight from Atlanta making my "coupon run" list, then updating it again and again
- Checking in at the GG then getting a Shrimp Cocktail and watered down drink before going to my room
- The Smell of the El Co right as you walk in
- Checking out a new Fremont East Bar
- Finding the cheapest drink specials (Last trip it was .50-cent draft at VC)
- Making longshot bets on my hometown teams
- Hitting the Strip for a few hours then realizing how I like downtown better
- Having a crappy buffet, but justifying it because I have a MRB coupon
- Stage Door Casino (enough said)
- Having that one big run at the table, at 3 am.
- Trying to sweet talk my way into a show/concert/event
- Gathering up all the free Vegas Now, Vegas 2 Go and Las Vegas hotel magazines I can find
- Flying home worn out, hungover and broke. And counting down the days till I can do it again.

Ok, thanks for letting me get that out..

Marko..
Well I wish you all the best on the whole new world that's about to start for you!

And yes, Las Vegas is like no other place I know. Where else can I go to not only have a pretty inexpensive vacation but where I also can end up coming home with more money than I arrived in LV with and have the experiences that I end up having?

And where else could I (as I mentioned in another thread) even before being in a position to get comped rooms on my own, end up staying in a hotel in LV for Three nights and end up paying $10 for it?

Hopefully you can return again in maybe a few years!

On the hand you can start looking forward to your first trip to Vegas with you child. We took our boys a couple years ago (youngest turned 21 a couple weeks earlier). It was a hoot. Unlike any family vacation ever. A mom doesn't often get the chance to sit at a bar with her boys. Well this one doesn't. Forget about what your gonna miss but you are going to have so many great memories to look forward to. Congrats and good luck. Oh by the way did most of your list with my boys. Taking the youngest with his gf this fall when she turns 21.
