I have stayed there several times. Rooms at the Fremont are decent, but don't expect anything fancy by any means.
A couple things you should know....Fremont rooms have blinds rather than curtains, and light always seems to find its way in. Not a big deal if you don't require a completely dark room to sleep in. I put a towel or two over the blinds at bedtime because I prefer a dark room. Also, the light show (and live bands) can be very loud in rooms facing Fremont Street. This doesn't bother me since I stay out way too late most nights. But if you plan on going to bed before midnight or so, consider asking for a room that doesn't face Fremont.
