Going to be at The D over Super Bowl weekend. What rooms are the most quiet? At check-in, I would like to be prepared to 'act' like i know what I'm talking about. First stay at The D.....
You'll want to be 7th floor or higher, on the side of the hall opposite from Fremont Street/3rd Street Stage! There are bands or DJ's playing on the 3rd Street Stage every night, and no matter how high a floor you have, you can definitely hear it (IF you are above it). I can't tell you whether you want odd or even, sorry!
I had room 2525 and it was very quiet... it is a handicapped room... but I'm sure other rooms on this floor are quiet also... one advantage to a high floor is you get on the elevator before lower floors when going down. It was especially good since my scooter chair takes up half the elevator. --- I think you'll like staying at The D... the beds are comfortable and the food at Andiamos is outstanding... my son ate full meals, but I was happy mostly with appetizers, soups and desserts... all of which were scrumptious. --- I especially enjoyed playing Pai Gow Mania and Freebet Blackjack... which I found no where else Downtown. Have fun!!!
I believe if you ask for a room ending in an odd number you will be facing the side that looks towards the El Cortez. We stay at the D all the time and I know from room # 2538 and 3430 you could hear the band from the stage loud and clear. Other than that minor inconvenience at times ( we came back to the room in the evening to watch a specific show on TV) the rooms are comfortable. Never had any problems with service if we requested something - they are very accomodating and always make us feel that our business is appreciated.
