Where to stay---Main Street or the D

I have two similar offers (Three free nights, slot play and dining dollars) for both Main Street and The D. I don't like to check in to both places to take advantage of both offers, so let's say that is not an option. Which hotel would be the best choice considering I like a quiet room and good gambling.
If you want a party, The D.
If you want good gambling without the loud music and rowdy crowd, Main Street Station.
When I go I stay at Main Street Station and visit the D, but it's nice to know you can get away from that mess. (sometimes a fun mess....)
The D is the loudest place I have ever been and yes I have stayed at Planet Ho 3 times. We were on the 30th floor and didn't get to sleep until after 2 am just from the music on Fremont Street.
Both a good "downtown places". The D is more noisy for sure! Ask for a room facing away from Fremont.

MSS is also noisey, ask for a room away from the highway (low odd number rooms 1, 3, 5, 7 etc)

Both are good gambles, both have good eats! The D is a bit newer and a bit more trendy, but MSS has a lot of class and microbrews!

These properties are close to one another. I would check into both places, then I could check them out and stay at each and make my own decision -( even though I know you stated you did not like to check into both at the same time). Double slot play and double dining dollars - think about it. If you insist on staying at just one, then I recommend Main Street.
I'm based but MSS hands down. They have the best staff! I've never had a major problem there and when I did have a minor one it is resolved very quickly. I've been going there for more than 10 years and just love it. I like the higher floors low odd numbers.
Agree with most of whats been said...I'll only say "the D" is going to be more generous with comps in the future. Give them some stay-n-play now and you can expect lots of free rooms and free play later. So if you can handle the noise its a more rewarding choice than MSS ...and honestly, if you get a room facing away from Fremont St its not that noisy at all. MSS has its own noise problems if your room faces the freeway. Make sure you get one that doesn't if you stay there.
