Which downtown Hotels are the least smokiest?

I am going to Las Vegas next month, and I will probably gamble at some of the downtown casinos, hoping to get room offers for the future. Which of the casinos will send out good room offers for the future if I gamble there. Also, are there any downtown casinos that are not too smoky? Thanks for the advice!

The high ceilings at Main Street Station make it much less smoky and claustrophobic than most casinos. You didn't specify your game of choice and your level of play, but I think you'll find that MSS will send out offers for pretty minimal machine play. 4K per day of video poker will pretty much guarantee you some free nights.
I think El Cortez is the worst...but I have never been to the Plaza.
MSS is decent but there are places that have constant traffic and don't get cleaned much like the front VP area closest to the bar towards the Plaza- I don't know if it's the front or the back but I mean the opposite door of where you park/check in.
For future comps; your best bet is MSS.. I like the place/ it's homey and friendly.

I dont remember a lot of smoke at the El Cortez the last time I was there (April 2011), but the blast of air freshener (purfume?) that slaps you in the face when you get off the elevators from the parking garage is a bit over done

I agree with mckenztf and noahcat. MSS seems to be the least smoky, El Cortez is definately the worst.
I don't smoke. I do no think El Cortez is smokier than the average downtown casino. Golden Gate, to me, is the smokiest, followed by Four Queens.

California is probably the least smoky to me.

What game(s) do you play, at what level and for how long do you play?

As for smokey casinos, I do think that Golden Gate is the smokiest and then maybe Four Queens. El Cortez has actually gotten better (less smokey) over about the last year or so. And yes, California Casino hasn't seemed too bad smoke-wise either.

Nugget and 4 Queens were least smokiest for last week in December - I just returned from there tonight. Really surprised to see the posts describing 4 Queens as smokey - I have some major smoke allergies and spent 4 nights gambling there (stayed at Nugget). Smokiest I visited was El Cortez. Gold Spike was very clean and air was fresh - which surprised me based on previous posts that I have read here. Will post a trip report in next couple of days

I generally play quarter video poker ($1.25 a hand) for about 4 hours a day. I rotate between Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild and Double Bonus Poker. I hope that kind of play would generate at least a room offer for the future.
4 Queens has full pay video poker (I played JOB but they also have others full-pay) and had the best and largest drinks( Scotch) and fastest drink service of any casino that we played. Also their restaurant has great prices ($10,00) for Prime Rib Dinner, wine $4.00 a single serve bottle. I was VERY impressed with the 4 Queens - and I won every night - including a Royal. Can't be bad!
