WiFi @ MSS

Just an update on the free wifi that is in the area near the slot club at MSS---we were just there and there were signs up that as of the 15th (I think) there will no long be free wifi available. You can get it for $10/day in you room, but bye bye free wifi at MSS.

One time I stayed at MSS and needed to log in for work a few hours each day. The wi-fi in the lobby was so spotty - it was down more than it was on - that on the survey they sent me, I suggested that a lot of people were in a situation like mine and would be willing to pay.

I do feel bad for those who just wanted access long enough to check emails, look for show times, make dinner reservations, etc., but the loss of that particular hotspot is no great loss.

A lower cost option people may want to consider is the WiFi company with SSID _LasVegas.net This ISP had access points throughout much of downtown, at Sam's Town, and many points on the strip. From memory, their pricing was 4.95 a day or $11.95 a week. The key is, you wouldn't have to be tied to a particular spot in one particular hotel. However, I do not think the signal worked from the hotel rooms.
