Your biggest annoyances / gripes in or about the casino

On slotmachinesforum and slotfanatics they are asking input on what are your biggest annoyances / gripes in or about the casino... Seems like a good idea for this website...

One thing I really dislike are promotions where you must be present to win. Sometimes I have entries during the month, but have NO intention of being there for the drawing. It is too crowded or I can't come back that often. It just makes the promotion worthless to me. I wish they would just give everyone with an entry a chance to win, whether they are present or not....

Don't give me a miniscule amount of FP to use a few specific days every week. Give me a one time larger amount to use ANY day during the week or month. Nobody would drive/fly that far for a few bucks.

What bugs you????
Loud music!! It's just too much at the D and Golden Gate, especially.
It seems like the new generation of slots require you to play $2 max coin..and have tiny jackpots hovering near $1000. The idea is they pay frequently but not in big amounts. I dont want to win $1000...i want $10,000. I hate when I spin $2 on a slot, get the bonus round, and it pays me $9. But thats how they all are now.
Penny Video Slots - Don't know why they call them penny - they cost over $3.00 a spin to play.
If I play slots - which is rare, I want to play for 75c, pull a handle, and spin 3 mechanical reels (Megabucks Excepted)

Video Poker with lousy pay tables. Put in full pay - enough clueless players will still lose on them but by offering decent pay tables the casino is attracting people who will book rooms, eat in restaurants, drink in bars, attend shows - and likely gamble on something else besides just VP.

It's high time that casinos create non-smoking sections in their gaming areas.
Tournaments! Slots, craps, blackjack
$100 buy in (or more), play for one 10 minute round of unreasonable expectations-----do the walk of shame!
Why cant they come up with a tournament that is worth flying to Vegas and getting to play for a while before getting knocked out.
Even better would be a tournament where skill players get a chance to out play the luck players. For example, I have been in a craps tournament where a drunk guy throws whom has probably played craps 3 times in his life, puts all his money on the number 12 (horrible bet) early in the tournament and I throw all my money on the 6&8 (decent bets)....he wins the damned tournament, and I get wiped out.....all in 10 minutes!

unreasonable expectations to get points for drawings......I will use the Golden Gate for an example;

I was at motorcycle week last September. The Golden Gate offered 1 ticket for every $100 field bet (and won) on a craps table, or a $25 hardway bet (and won)......who and the hell is gonna make those bets?
Now if the Golden made it halfway reasonable like a $5 bet on the hardways and a $25 field bet, I "might" take a shot on occasion.
The old Las Vegas Hilton had a $600 buy in to a yearly craps tournament. I would not lay $600 down for any tournament with my gambling bankroll, but the Hilton was wise enough to give you a shot of getting into the tournament by playing regular craps and having $5 on the yo (#11) on the come out roll.
FYI, I did it this way years ago and got into the tournament and won $4500.

Useless hosts.
We have had and continue to have a handful a really good hosts who take care of us well.
Unfortunately they are in the minority. We dislike being assigned a host who never returns calls or emails, may or may not introduce themselves by asking, "is there anything I can do for you?", which turns out that they can't even comp a cup of coffee.
Some properties, Harrahs comes to mind, have such frequent host turnover that they should use one of those erasable white boards for their business cards so they can update the names.

OK, rant over.

How 'bout the obvious. 6-5 blackjack of any kind. I use to lose enough at 3-2 to pay for those damn fountains.
I hate when casinos mislead the public with bad advertising -- such as that infernal sign that basically said, "By Popular Demand, Ballys And Paris Casinos present Single-Deck Blackjack Paying a Whopping 6 To 5!" Or that their slot points are worth more, when that just isn't necessarily true.
