AC Changes Diamond Lounge requirements

To earn a comp $, or 100 RC's at CET properties, I think it's more than $125 coin in, unless you are playing on a big multiplier day

At CET, $125 in coin-in on VP is usually 12 tier points, or twelve cents. Even if you get the same number of bonus points, that's still only twenty four cents total in comps. On regular slots, it could be forty eight cents!

That's all assuming no multipliers.

We didn't make it to Bally's this trip. Chose Caesar's over Bally's only for tables along windows looking down on the boardwalk. Makes for good people watching. Food at Showboat, Harrah's and Caesar's was similiar.

I was at Showboat this week and went to the lounge on Tuesday 3 pm. I used one of the 2 free passes that were attached to the notice they sent about the changes. I usually stop there for a light lunch and often only have soup and a piece of bread and some fruit. I took the offered shrimp cocktail ( 6 fairly large, peeled shrimp and quite good). I also had the soup (always excellent) and some fruit and a small, turkey sandwich on a roll.

The best thing about the change was the complete lack of a line to get either food or a table. The shrimp cocktail, alone, almost makes up for the charge. it seems that some Diamond folks were really abusing the use of the lounge, so this new system was the result. I don't do many high end things in the casino, so I shouldn't miss the deduction for my 1 or 2 stops in the lounge each month (I go down about once a month).

I am much more soncerned about the quality of the VP than I am about needing comps for the Diamond Lounge.

We scoped out Bally's DL-- made it to Harrah's DL- schrimps, cappachinos and fresh fruit was totally worth $10.00 RC.
Thanks again Stu and Kip for driving us everywhere
If you are Diamond player with a tier score of 25,000 or more is the DL free for you AND a guest or just the Diamond player? Was curious. Thanks in advance for any responses.
at 25,000----free for you and 1 guest------next 2 guests would be $25 each in comp dollars---

bartenders and waitstaff are not happy, less people less tips-----and------hours have been cut-----
So if one is over 25K and spouse isn't, best to go in on the card with the 25K points since guest would be free.
yes----otherwise diamond card spouse with less than 25,000 is charged $10 in rc credits---
Many thanks. I actually hit 25k during my Vegas trip and if I go to AC, it would be nice to be able to treat a guest to the DL without affecting my points. As I understand the rules from an earlier post in this thread, as the 25k requirement allows for "free" entry if you reached 25k in the prior or current year, it sounds like I may be good to go for DL "free" entry through 2012, even if I don't hit 25k next year (which I don't expect to do).
