AC Diamond lounges-Harrahs vs Borgata

Was in AC last week for the first time. Went to all the casinos to look around and get a chip for a souvenir. When we went to Borgata ended up at the Players Club booth and decided to get a card. If you are a CET Diamond player Borgata gives you an automatic upgrade to same level for your first time sign up. Upgrade includes $100 in either slot play or table play and $20 comp dollars. Comp dollars can immediately be used for entry to their equivalent of Diamond Lounge. We decided to check it out and have to see, it put Harrahs Diamond Lounge to shame. There was a full buffet with prime rib/rack of lamb, mix of veggies/fixings for sandwiches and salads/desserts. Lounge had nice atmosphere/friendly staff and top shelf liquor.
This is for first time sign ups and shouldn't be missed. If both of you are Diamond, you each receive the first time bonus.

Doesn't it also include a 1 night room comp? If so, is it good any night of the week?

I used their Diamond card match last spring and it included a free night offer for a future stay. We returned to AC this summer & I called to see if I could use my free night for a Saturday night. I was able to book a comped Sat night with no problem.

Great - thanks - planning on using it for a Friday night.... Did you book it at the time of the upgrade? I understand it has to be booked within a certain time limit...

I didn't book during the upgrade. I think you have 6 months to use it.

I had forgotten about the room comp. Was more interested in letting folks know about the lounge since CET is now charging for their diamond lounge.

Do you have to use the $100 immediately?

Sorry, I didn't ask. We were already planning on playing and had no idea that there was such a signup bonus. Had never seen anything posted on here about it.
