Anyone every play at a Hollywood Casino?

We live in Toledo, OH and will be getting a Hollywood Casino in early 2012. We have never been to a Hollywood before. Any thoughts? We were really wondering about video poker, since that is all we play. We would hate to have one in our town and not want to play at it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Owned by Penn National. We go to Charlestown W Va . Nothing given to low rollers like us. They bought the M and from what i see they are starting to ruin it. Going next week, I still get a free buffet but they stopped my wifes. We were there in May and we both used free buffets and got gifts. When she called a few days ago they said she did not spend enough. They also limit the days that you gan get gifts. Also told they took out free soda machines in the M. In our area Penn National Has gaming In W Va Pa Md and coming to OH. Not much compitition for them!! Good luck.
It's been quite a while since I've been in one but, just from looking at vpFREE, it looks like their casinos have similar VP to CET properties ... that is, very little if anything playable below the $5 level.

I live about midway between Toledo and Cleveland, and the Cleveland casino is going to be a Horseshoe. So while I'm hopeful for some decent VP in northern Ohio, I'm not real optimistic.
I play at the one in Indiana about every other month. The Free Play offers are usually 1 per day for 3 or 4 days with a few days excluded per month, I also usually get a free room twice a month Sunday to Friday. The food comps is a litte strange, I always seem to have enough to cover the buffet or other restaurants even after I dump my points into FreePlay.

VP: Quarter is pretty bad, though Indiana does have 1 machine with 9/6 and 8/5. The Dollar progressive has 8/5.

Slots: Indiana has a lot of older machines since they took over the argosy but they have been replacing them with about 20+ newer machines every month and now have most of the newer games. I think the one in Columbus and Toledo should have all new machines but we'll see.

Payouts: I've had good days and bad days but they seem to be on par with most other Non-Vegas Casinos.

I'll start playing in Columbus once it's built.

Thanks everyone for your comments. That's kind of what I thought, as I've looked at other Penn National casinos at vpFree. We go to Greektown in Detroit currently, which has an excellent range of quarter games and we will still do that if Hollywood is no good. It is kind of ironic that my mother-in-law has lived in the Cleveland area for over 40 years, but now that they are building a casino there and we could stay with her, she's moved out of state. So Cleveland, which we were looking forward to, most likely won't be an option.

Thanks again.
I used to play at Hollywood Casino in Aurora, IL occasionally. Didn't like it much. I also played at the one in Tunica, MS. The movie-theme decor was interesting, but didn't win anything.
When the new one opened in Lawrenceberg it had fine paytables, and they have slowly disappeared. I just posted they changed the $1 DDBP from 10/-6 to 8/5. I'll not put one dollar through them.
They are like any casino chain...there are good properties and lousy properties. I liked the one in Lawrenceberg, IN when they opened a few years ago but I haven't played there in awhile. According to video's last post it seems to be going downhill.

I think the Hollywood Company owns the M-Resort in Vegas (not totally sure) - but that place rocks.
Hollywood has now downgraded all ten of the $1 progressive machines. MATH IDIOTS ARE STILL PLAYING THEM. I mentioned to three people playing the 10/6 DDB in another area that the progressive had been downgraded, and they had NO idea what I was talking about.
