Anyone know when the Paula Deene Buffet opens at Harrahs Joliet?

i'm sure you have tried Hollywood Joliet. how is it? i haven't been there yet.

Wayne, Hollywod Joliet is my husband's casino of choice. We usually go there every Friday and eat in their "Diamond" lounge. I have to say we have been luckier there than at Harrah's lately. I like the fact that they have 2 levels of gaming. I can tell you that their quarter vp on the lower level near the exit for the smoking area has DDB that pays 9/5. The games at the bars pay 8/5.

You should venture out sometime!

Hollywood Joliet has a "motel"-it's not attached to the casino like Harrahs, but they do have a pool and jacuzzi. The rooms(at least the last time we stayed there(which was about a year ago), were definitely very basic. Personally, hotel-wise, Harrahs Joliet is the place to stay if you are going to gamble.

Stayed at Hollywood in January. Pool is now closed, to our annoyance. To our credit, they told us that when we called for a February reservation. Not surprised, since we always had pool to ourselves (which was actually pretty nice).

Well we ate for the last time today at Mosaic, they were trying to finish up the food they had on hand, they were starting to run out of deserts. I will miss Mosaic, I really liked eating breakfast there But now if you want to eat breakfast at Joliet, the buffet will be the only thing available and I am sure breakfast will be kinda pricey now. Since I am not overly big on buffets, I guess I will be eating a lot of nachos at the deli, I like their nachos.

I have heard the Paula Deen buffet will be opening the first week of April and Paula Deen is scheduled to be there on 4/5/12 I think is the date. They are having a contest to win a meet and greet on their facebook page.

Yep the offical opening is April 5th. Didn't see anything about her being there for the opening or the contest though.
It looks to be pricey....on the website they are showing 2 $$ for the price. Time will tell.

I got an email from HET to fill out a form to enter for the meet and greet with Paula. Once the form is filled out you need to drop it off at the Total Rewards booth.

Aces will be open for breakfast now according to the Joliet website.
