Are RI Casinos Class II or III?

For years, Twin River & Newport Grand slots were class II. I thought in recent years, especially as Twin River renovated and expanded, changed over to Las vegas style class III slots. Well, does any one know what the situation is? American Casino Guide still says they are class II VLT, but I wonder if they have updated their RI section. Anyone know?

I believe they are class 2 still, as they are run by the state of Rhode Island. I visit Twin River almost weekly, and usually see many people hitting jackpots there, so no matter what type of machine they are, the patrons do not care.

I play video keno just about 99% of the time, and have had several $1400.00 hits this year. Video poker pay tables are horrid, but many play at the nickle level and have a good time.
