I have stayed at the Showboat in Atlantic City a few years ago. We will be there again at the end of July, does anyone have information about the rooms at Bally or Harrahs. Which hotel and room type would you prefer to stay at ??
Its been a while since I stayed at Showboat, so can't speak to those rooms. Just stayed at Bally's in December. I believe we were in a Dennis Tower room. It was ok, imho. If I had to choose one of the three I'd pick Harrahs. The casino is much nicer than the other two, and the Bay View and Water Tower rooms are very new and nice.
1. Harrahs is very nice but off beach/boardwalk a few miles. The Newest Tower: Waterfront was not that impressed, seemed very worn furniture and carpet. Best towers to stay in: Waterfront, Marina (my favorite) or Atrium. Harbour tower is very old too.
2. Showboat.... never stayed there but likely better than the bottom feeder feel of Ballys.
3. Never stayed at Ballys but the overall casino seems very worn so makes you wonder about the rooms.
We stayed at Harrahs a couple of times, liked the rooms and food options.The casino has a lot of non smoking areas. I also liked the area near the casino with nice walking paths near the water. The Borgata and old Trump Marina [Golden Nugget?] are close by. Bob
Stayed at Ballys last Month. Stayed at Harrahs last April. Harrahs by a long shot. Unless you just want the feel of the Boardwalk and like being close to a lot of other casinos. Then Ballys would be a more "logical" choice.
