Borgata room renovations

Some of the rooms in the original tower at the Borgata in Atlantic City have been renovated. I stayed in a standard room on the renovated 38th floor. The hallways have dark-colored, padded carpet. Walls in the hallway are dark color and there is also new lighting. The guest room doors are black and the rooms have gray carpet with pink swirly patterns. New furniture. Blonde wood furniture is gone! new large black dresser with a door to conceal the refrigerator that you actually can use to keep your drinks etc. cool. Large flat-screen TV. New lighting/fixtures throughout. New countertop/lighting in bathroom and new wallpaper. New telephones, 3 of them, including one next to the John. In all, a nice classy upgrade.
That is good to know.

Did you request that room or was it randomly assigned to you.

Would you have offered the $20 trick if the front desk hinted it might be available, but they weren't sure.
didn't request it. I was in black card check-in line, later in the day with a friend who had never been there before. I mentioned it was her first visit and that's the room the clerk gave me. It was a comp room. have never tried the $20 trick. would have been OK with the regular room but this one was a nice treat. Noticed someone who got off elevator on 32nd floor and that had not been renovated.
You must rate Parrothead.

I was there yesterday, a very slow Wednesday, checked in at 12:30 and asked for a renovated room.
The check in person told me those rooms were for very good customers. I showed my black label card with a $20 bill and said "I am a very good customer" . Answer, sorry can't help you.

She did say that the renovations were expected to be completed by the beginning of March.

I am thinking that will be just in time for the opening of Revel.

Profbac- I HOPE you held onto your $20 and Didn't slip it to the clerk before she told you,
she Can't help you. Hope you walked away with your 20.
I was at the Borgata on the day before Thanksgiving, and the clerk said "we are
upgrading you to a suite at the Waterclub".
