Clarence Clemons, E Street Band Saxophonist Dies

To those of you old enough to have been a fan of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, this is sad news indeed. Posted it here due to the Jersey roots of the "The Boss" and the "Big Man".

RIP Clarence. One of the best saxophonist ever!

Amen!
He really was-
I loved Gerry Mulligan & Stan Getz but Clarence has (Damn..HAD) stamina to play w/ the Boss for 30+ years.
that's a lot of road
Interestingly enough- he plays on 2 tracks of Lady Gaga's Born This Way CD

RIP Big Man
If there's music in heaven, it just got a little better..
Yes, and I understand that he was recently (within a couple of weeks of his stroke) on "American Idol" with her. Playing with her on a song "Edge of Glory". Perhaps from the CD you mentioned? I dont keep up with Lady Gaga!

Anyway, he was very "in demand". One of my favorites is a music video he did with Aretha Franklin "Freeway of Love". You can't listen to or watch that without wanting to move! And, of course, Clarence was cool as the other side of the pillow . . .

You can't get much cooler than he was. He will be missed!
